Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) is known as flagship programme of government of India, which is introduced to serve the Universalization of Elementary Education (UEE) within a particular manner of time bound. This programme is mandated under 86th amendment of Indian constitution of India in a way to provide free of cost and compulsory primary education to the children of 6-14 years of age group as their fundamental right. This programme is put into practice with the partnership of all state governments of India, so that it can cover the entire country effectively and can point out the requirements of the 192 millions of children belongs to 1.1 million of habitation.
This programme is entitled to open most of the new schools in the backward or rural areas which do not hold any primary educational facilities to the local surroundings. This programme is also involved in straitening a existing schools by providing amenities to enhance class rooms, drinking water, toilets, daily meal, school improvement and maintenance grants. This programme covers the scarce of teacher in number by providing appropriate number of teacher through giving extensive training to the new teaching staff or pre-existing teachers, allowing them to develop advance material for learning teaching and strengthening the structure of academic support at block, cluster and district level.
